That’s why we are releasing Hotspot Apps, an easy to use extension for your Dashboard that let’s you mine multiple coins at once and install useful web applications.
You probably have some questions. Here’s the answers to most of them.
Hotspot Apps is a premium feature that enables you to install additional apps, as well as mine other cryptocurrencies. All from the same device.
No. You still mine HNT as you do on a daily basis. Mining Helium will not be affected, as we hand-select the applications we launch and test them thoroughly before deploying them to our Hotspot Apps store. Priority #1 will be HNT.
We are evaluating crypto projects on a weekly basis and see what makes most sense to add. If you have any ideas about what we should try out and bring to the Hotspot Apps store, please let us know! We are very open to all ideas.
We will publish Knowledge Base articles to help you get started, but we are not offering any support. If you have questions about a token or application, please forward them to the team who is responsible for creating the application or token. We only provide technical support in terms of keeping your apps updated and running, but not more than that.
We thought about this a lot. Technically, yes, but it really makes no sense earnings-wise. So we are focusing on other algorithms and tokens that can be minted through other means, like network bandwith, storage and more.
Unfortunately no, as there would be no easy way for us to make sure that HNT-related parts are kept safe and secure. That’s why we opted in for a “managed” store with pre-selected apps. New apps that will come into the store from time to time will always be thoroughly tested to make sure that they can’t cause interference with the Helium miner container and that everything is secure. However, feel free to request software or tokens you want to see – we will test and evaluate everything that you throw at us and try our best to make it work!
Our currently selected apps work without needing direct access to app configuration files or similar. We are working on a solution that will allow more apps to be published where access to configuration files is a must-have. Multiple options are being evaluated (restricted access to specific files that are editable only through the Dashboard, restricted shells, and many more). But this still takes time and brainwork and we will update you accordingly when a solution is production-ready.
You need 1 license for each device that you own. A license will be locked to the device.
Software purchases are non-refundable.

If you plan to buy Controllino Hotspot or Controllino Hotspot Pro, first order the products, and then make a new order for the Hotspot Apps license.
Otherwise, your license will be sent later when the products in your cart are sent as well.
We will be opening up Pre-orders for Batch 3 starting at some day next week, between Sep. 13 2021 and Sep. 19 2021. We will NOT publish the date and time beforehand for obvious reasons.

As most of you already know, we have now finished our successful launch campaign for Batch 1 and 2 through our waitlist.
