Refunds & Returns

We like to play it fair: until the product is delivered (e.g. in case of pre-orders), you can fully refund your order at any time. You will get a 100% refund if paid with SEPA, and 100% refund minus transaction fees if paid with Credit Card. (only for private customers)

If you have received your product, you have an additional 14 days to return the product and still get a full refund excluding the shipping costs. (only for private customers)

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Also, follow the rules stated here in our Cancellation Policy.

There are certain situations where only partial or no refunds are granted:

  • Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 14 days.

Late or missing refunds

Refunds take up to 10 working days to process for credit card payments (mostly due to process time from credit card companies) and up to 5 working days for bank payments.

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email and send your item to:

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

To return your product, you should mail your product to CONELCOM ENGINEERING GmbH, Dr. Franz Werner Straße 32, 6020 Innsbruck, Austria.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Software Refunds

Keep in mind that purchased software licenses are non-refundable after activation.

Funds collected by pre-orders will be used for normal business operation, including sourcing of components, paying staff and similar.

Make sure that you don’t have any other product in your cart!

If you plan to buy Controllino Hotspot or Controllino Hotspot Pro, first order the products, and then make a new order for the Hotspot Apps license.

Otherwise, your license will be sent later when the products in your cart are sent as well.

We will be opening up Pre-orders for Batch 3 starting at some day next week, between Sep. 13 2021 and Sep. 19 2021. We will NOT publish the date and time beforehand for obvious reasons.

As most of you already know, we have now finished our successful launch campaign for Batch 1 and 2 through our waitlist. Although it was quite an amount of work to manage all pre-orders, inquiries and messages in the last couple of weeks, the effort was worth it: the pre-orders were very organized, our server infrastructure was rock-stable and we got amazing feedback from the community.

So we just want to let you know: thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your compliments and feedback, and for joining and especially trusting us on this incredible journey!
